About

Here at Anima Care, we want to talk about the end-of-life of family pets. They are our lifetime companions and their passing is a such a difficult time for all of us. The funeral rituals we have for our departed pets are a reflection of their place in the family. Anima Care supports veterinary teams with structuring their end-of-life support services by providing training, consumable products and other services. Anima Care provides families with the resources to help them through this emotionally difficult time.

Our Approach

Our approach to end-of-life care covers all the stages of the care pathway, from the final consultation where we share that vital prognosis to the collection of the beloved pet’s ashes. We offer veterinary clinics the opportunity to provide support for pets and their families, respecting those families’ expectations and the values of the veterinary teams and establishments we work with.

MAKING A DECISION

The death of a pet is a unique and seminal moment for any family that experiences it. Making decisions such as how to euthanise a pet or what type of cremation a family would like can be difficult when they have just been given that bad news. This 12-page booklet is given to families during their prognosis appointment to help them understand their choices before discussing them with the veterinary team.
